Q: Why 16 bits of colors and 640*480 of resolution ratio couldn't be revised in Windows?

Q: What's ODBC and how to set it?
A: ODBC has a function of linking the program with database. ODBC is only permitted to visit the database in the system, so that correct set for ODBC is a guarantee to operate all programs in the system.
To set ODBC as follows: In Win98, please find ODBC in control panel, then set as the instructions; In WinXP and Win2000: (1) find ODBC in administration tool of control panel, (2) select Access among Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb), Sql Server in data source, (3) enter name of data source ( qch for trunk scale, cdhatx or net for monitoring system for operation of railway freight, sometimes password is required to enter; (4) select database. |
Q: Problems about network
A: Any problems about network, please check network adapter card, such as whether the network adapter card has been correctly inserted or not, driving program are correctly installed or not, if not, please reinstall or re-insert.
Using Ipconfig to check whether the network adapter card has been correctly inserted or not; Using ping order (Ping192.168.0.1 or Ping Server) to check whether the network is under good work.
Please carefully pay attention to the problems in network transmission medium, all relevant equipments such as Utp net line, Rj45interface, Hub or switch, transmission facilities for cable should be checked. If there is no problem in the network but the operating speed of the network is very slow, there may be a problem in network transmission, please check all interfaces and the setting of computer such as I/P, Share, and accessing right. |
Q: Problems in the operating system?
A: In proper operation, there is no problem. But, the computer may out of order in error operation or virus attacking etc. If you have no intention to operate self-checking or other items after starting the computer, you can operate Msconfig in Win98 to delete these functions.
